Jewellery Accessory Care Guide
These vibrant 3D resin earrings are crafted with surgical stainless steel, printed resin, and glass beads using a UV resin 3D printer (stereolithography method). To ensure your accessories remain beautiful for years, please follow the following care guidelines below.
1. General Care
Store Safely: Keep earrings in a clean, dry, dark, and well-ventilated place, preferably in a soft pouch, lined jewellery box, or individual compartments to prevent scratches, tangles, or damage. Store away from direct sunlight to avoid yellowing or brittleness in resin.
Avoid Contact with Chemicals: Remove earrings before applying perfume, hairspray, lotions, sunscreen, cosmetics, or cleaning products, as these can dull, cloud, or damage components.
Wear Last, Remove First: Put on earrings after dressing and applying products, and remove them before undressing, bathing, swimming, or cooking to avoid snags or exposure to harmful substances.
Handle with Clean Hands: Wash hands before handling to prevent oils, dirt, or makeup from dulling resin, glass, or metal components.
Keep Dry: Avoid prolonged exposure to water or high humidity (e.g., swimming, showering, or bathing), as this can cause deterioration or discolouration of resin and other materials.
2. Surgical Stainless Steel
Low Maintenance & Hypoallergenic: Hooks, hoops, and findings are made from surgical stainless steel, which is highly resistant to tarnish and corrosion and ideal for sensitive ears.
Cleaning: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wearing to remove oils or residue. For deeper cleaning, use warm water with mild, non-abrasive soap, then dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
Avoid Harsh Polishes: Do not use metal polishes, abrasives, silver cleaners, or chemical solvents, as they may damage the steel’s finish or surrounding resin/glass components.
3. Printed Resin Components
Protect from Extreme Heat and UV Light: Store away from high temperatures (e.g., direct sunlight, hot cars, or heat sources), as resin may soften, warp, yellow, or become brittle when exposed to UV light or heat.
Avoid Water Submersion: Brief exposure to water droplets is fine, but avoid soaking (e.g., swimming, showering, or cooking) to preserve the resin’s finish and print quality.
Clean Gently: Use a microfiber or soft cotton cloth to wipe away dust or smudges. If needed, use a tightly wrung cloth moistened with water, then immediately wipe dry. Avoid alcohol, acetone, thinner, solvents, or chemical cleaners, which can cause cloudiness, cracking, or degradation of the resin or print.
Handle with Care: Resin can break or crack if dropped or subjected to strong impact.
4. Glass Beads
Handle with Care: Glass beads are durable but can chip, crack, or break if dropped or struck against hard surfaces.
Cleaning: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wearing to maintain shine and remove oils or debris.
Avoid Ultrasonic Cleaners: These can cause micro-fractures in glass beads or damage adjacent resin components.
5. Health and Safety
Discontinue Use if Irritation Occurs: If you experience itching, redness, or other signs of an allergic reaction, stop using the earrings immediately and consult a professional if needed.
Not Suitable for Children or Pets: These earrings are not toys and pose a choking hazard. Keep out of reach of small children and pets, as small parts could be dangerous if swallowed.
6. Things to Avoid
Prolonged water exposure or high humidity (e.g., swimming, showering, bathing, or cooking).
Harsh chemicals, including perfumes, hairspray, lotions, silver cleaners, solvents, or other cleaning agents.
Extreme heat, direct sunlight, or UV light, which can damage resin or fade colours.
Rough handling, dropping, or strong impacts against hard surfaces.
Ultrasonic cleaners, abrasive cloths, or polishes, which can harm glass, resin, or steel components.
