Original Illustration - Here Comes the Sun

$125.00

‘Here Comes the Sun’ , a song by The Beatles and written by George Harrison, is a bright and optimistic folk-pop tune that exudes simplicity and warmth. It inspired the title for this piece which features a little bird and their offspring on a branch watching the sun rise. The song is about renewal and hope after a long, difficult time and I think one of the most important things we can teach our children is resilience to survive the tough times with the knowledge that there are always brighter days ahead and the sun always rises on a new day. It’s a celebration of light and hope and also a reminder to spend time with our children in nature.

This is an original black ink illustration with painted yellow gouache on Bainbridge Illustration board. Illustration measures 8 × 12 cm on A5 board measuring approximately 14.8 × 21cm. This listing is for the unframed artwork only but please see separate listing for the framing option to be delivered as it appears in the first image. As this is an original ink and gouache illustration, it will need to be framed to protect the image. Artwork will suit a standard A5 frame or board can be trimmed to suit a 4 × 6 inch mat opening photo frame. Illustration is one of 25 tiny illustrations created for my ‘Yellow Sun’ exhibition, 2025.

Illustration will be carefully packaged and shipped with Australia Post.
